What you get for your celebration
A private party deserves a professional setup too – without looking like a corporate production:
- Music to your taste – we discuss in advance what should play and what shouldn't. Must-plays and no-gos are yours, the rest I build live from the mood.
- A dramaturgy for the whole evening – lounge sound to arrive, then rising energy towards primetime with house and open format.
- Compact, high-quality equipment – Pioneer XDJ-RX3, own PA system for up to around 200 guests, subtle booth lighting. Fits a living room or a rooftop terrace.
- Microphone for speeches and surprises – for the birthday address or your best friend's toast.
- Backup equipment and soundcheck – your celebration never depends on a single device.
- Discreet appearance – I am part of your evening, not its centre.
From the first drink to the last hour
Private parties live off the right curve. To start, I play lounge and subtle grooves – guests should chat, arrive, enjoy the first drink. Once the mood shifts, I pull up the energy: house, current charts, classics everyone knows. As an open-format DJ I am not tied to one genre – I play what moves your guests.
The beauty of private events: there is no corporate protocol and no wedding schedule – which leaves all the more room for music that truly fits you. Whether your celebration should be elegantly understated or a full-on club night is your call. I deliver the sound for it.
I also love special formats: after-work parties at the rooftop bar, summer parties in the garden, New Year's Eve or a housewarming in the new flat. If music is supposed to make the difference, I am your DJ.

Private parties in Zurich and across Switzerland
Whether a rooftop terrace in Kreis 5, a rented loft, a private garden on Lake Zurich or a chalet in the mountains – I am based in Zurich and bookable across Switzerland as standard. Travel is listed transparently in the offer.
Even for smaller celebrations, a DJ is worth more than many think: the equipment is set up quickly, the music runs without interruptions and nobody has to manage a phone plugged into a speaker all night.

Private party FAQs
What hosts most often want to know.
How much does a DJ for a private party cost?
It depends on playing time, location and technical requirements. Private parties are often priced more compactly than large events – after a short call you receive a binding offer, usually within 24 hours.
Is a DJ worth it for smaller parties too?
Yes – especially there. From around 20–30 guests, a DJ makes the difference between background music and a real party. I scale the equipment to the size of your celebration, from living room to rented hall.
Can my guests make song requests?
Gladly. You define must-plays and no-gos in advance; during the party I take live requests – and play them when they fit the mood. That keeps the evening flowing.
Does the venue need a sound system?
No. I bring my own PA system that covers up to around 200 guests, plus a microphone and subtle booth lighting. If equipment is already on site, I am happy to use it after a short check.
How late do you play – and what about neighbours?
As long as your party runs and the venue allows. For events in residential areas I adapt volume and bass to the situation – a great atmosphere doesn't necessarily need maximum volume.
How short-notice can I inquire?
Just ask – if the date is free, even a few days can work. For Saturdays in the high season I still recommend 2–3 months lead time.
